Mitsubishi used the RVR name in Japan on a compact MPV from 1991-2002. That vehicle, more of a tall wagon crossed with a microvan, was sold in various export markets as the Mitsubishi Space Runner and the Mitsubishi Expo LRV. It was also marketed in the U.S. by Chrysler as the Dodge and Plymouth Colt Vista and the Eagle Summit Wagon.
The 2011 RVR gets a new 1.8-liter MIVEC four-cylinder gas engine and will measure about 169 inches long, more than a foot shorter than the Mitsubishi Outlander.
